Meet the SesayaArts Team
Arpita Ghosal
Writer & Curator
BEd, OISE/University of Toronto; PhD (English), University of Toronto
Arpita was born into an arts-adoring family, and raised with music, dance and theatre, beginning as shared experiences with her family: her violinist grandfather, her singer/actor father and her dancer mother. As a long-time arts journalist, she has worked in radio, TV and print media, speaking with fascinating people in various areas of the performing and literary arts.
After founding the Sesaya music studio in North York, she began Sesayarts Magazine as a way to engage the community more broadly with local arts and artists. In addition to writing, she teaches full-time at the TDSB, and is the mother of 3 creative and outspoken children (5, counting her indulged dogs Scrabble and Apricot). She is an avid reader with insatiable wanderlust and deep curiosity about new arts experiences . . . and is troublingly unfussy about cheese and chocolate.

Scott Sneddon
Senior Editor & Contributor
MA (English), Rutgers University; PhD (English), University of Toronto
Outside of half-hearted childhood piano lessons and an unexpected starring role as the villain in a high school soap opera, Scott’s primary claims to artistic fame are his PhD in English from the University of Toronto, his abiding love of comic books and popular culture, and his talented children.
In his day job at CIBC, Scott’s job is to find creative and effective ways to build the capability of the bank’s leaders. Scott is the Senior Editor of SesayArts and contributes articles, as well as theatre and comic book reviews. He is continually surprised by unexpected and useful insights that arise from the interplay of these very different roles.
